Finally! Bailey Smith confirmed a Geelong Cat

Hold onto your deodorants boys — after considerable speculation and trade rumours our mate and AFL star Bailey Smith has confirmed his much anticipated move to the Geelong Cats in 2025. The long drawn out contract negotiations that went down to the absolute wire had us all wearing a lot more antiperspirant deodorant than usual, but we couldn’t be more pumped for Baz.

Actual footage of Bailey Smith at 7.29pm on Wednesday 16 October.

From the Dog House to the Cattery 🐶➡️🐱
After six seasons of tearing it up for the Western Bulldogs, Bailey’s heading down the highway to Geelong—and according to recent in-depth research conducted by Dan Gorringe, Geelong is actually the place to be. With his explosive pace, elite skills, and relentless work ethic, Bailey is set to take the Cats' midfield to the next level.

What It Means for Stuff That Matters
For us at Stuff That Matters, having Bailey as part of the fam as an ambassador means we're even more excited to cheer him on through this new chapter. Bailey isn't afraid to be his authentic self, and we love the way he embraces his uniqueness, rejects outdated male stereotypes, and role models contemporary masculinity.
Through getting to know Bailey we can see how tough it is to be in the public eye 24/7, and the pressures that come with being a high performance athlete and person of influence. We have mad respect for how Bailey speaks openly about his challenges and his mental health.
